A message from our Pastor

“Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you; and these know that you have sent me.”(John 17:25) We know that God sent Jesus to show us who God is. This week, let the world know who God is by showing them God through your love and compassion, because you, yourself, have been loved by Jesus Christ. Let the world know this God by inviting others to church, to experience the love of God in community. Let’s not keep our knowledge of God through the person of Jesus Christ to ourselves – we have to share it. Let God use you to change the world simply by loving and inviting. See you Sunday!
Blessings and Peace,

About Church Last Week ...
An A-ha Moment from the Sermon
by Ed Preston

Janna asked a very serious question in her sermon last Sunday.
Are you ready to be transformed?
She gave us a personal illustration.
Her computer presented a question, "Do you want to upgrade to Windows 10 now?"
She told us that she answered, absolutely not. Not now. Not this week. Not when I am in the middle of all of this work. I don't want to have to learn a new operating system now, no matter how much better it is.

She then gave us the illustration from the scripture. An infirmed man had been sitting by the healing pool for 38 years waiting for a miracle cure. Jesus simply asked him the question, "Do you want to be healed?"
So I think the question for us is, am I more comfortable with the illness I know or the healing I don't know.

We hope that this will encourage dialogue about the different insights you gain from worship services. If you would like to join the conversation, please email Pastor Janna or Like us on Facebook. We hope you will participate!
